From the early age of 12, Laura began living the lifestyle of Feng Shui, which has greatly influenced all aspects of her life and style of artwork (mixed media) over the years. Feng Shui is an art, science, and spiritual practice that finds common ground between many of the world’s cultures and traditions. Its language of numbers and symbolism can be used to express profound ideas about the nature of our subconscious and conscious minds that project into the reality of our daily experiences. Much of her work also pulls from the studies of Astrology, Dowsing, Shamanism, Oceanology, Human Biology, Genealogy, Psychology, Alchemy, Sacred Geometry, Physics, and the Metaphysical Sciences. Laura's drawings and paintings are created on an intuitive basis. The images illustrate fluidity and rhythm combined with translucent layers and the use of subtle to vibrant colors. Some of these images may even appear aggressive in their depiction of the universal dualities of human nature to find that balance with our soul and spiritual connections.
