What is Feng Shui?

The practice of Feng Shui originates from China — estimated to be around 6,000 years old. The words Feng Shui literally translate to “wind” (Feng) and “water” (Shui).

Feng Shui first emerged as Yin Feng Shui, which specializes in the placement and orientation of burial sites. As centuries passed, the concept of Yang Feng Shui was cultivated, which is Feng Shui for the living (i.e homes, apartments, businesses, new developments).

Classical and modern-day Feng Shui utilize systematic calculations and historical data related to the building and its occupants, including move-in dates and compass readings, to analyze the dynamic energies of space and time.

Bridging the practice of Feng Shui with sociology, environmental psychology, biophilic design, and neuroscience illustrates the interconnectedness of our seen and unseen environments and how they impact us.

Through these keen observations, you gain an understanding of how energy could be influencing your decisions, habits, behaviours, relationships, and overall environment. This enables you to establish a conscious connection with your surroundings and adopt proactive behaviors and decision-making strategies to harmonize and balance the energy of your home, work, and life.

Feng Shui is a human experience. Adopting Feng Shui in your lifestyle and space fosters a deeper connection to humanity and your surroundings.
